More than a thousand years old
Syston appears in the Domesday Book as "Sitestone", and the Roman Fosse Way still runs through it. The oldest building is the Church of St Peter and St Paul, mostly from the 15th century. Trains on the Ivanhoe Line between Leicester and Lincoln stop at the town’s station.
